Honestly, they could've just played it off with the whole truancy thing with Haimiya and new chicks brother, both relating to it and getting him to open up so the siblings could mend their issues. That would've been totally fine and reasonable...then it jumped off the deep end lol.

I know it feels rushed (it was rushed lol), but I'm satisfied with that ending. It's bittersweet but it's a happy ending, so that's a W in my book.

I wasn't expecting those last few pages with his mom to bring a tear to my eye, but it did. That was wonderfully heartwarming. Also for people asking, I think the manga just ended today.
