When was this one released, was it special with the start of digimon comic? I thought I remembered four, not five, from the website, and don't recall reading this one in Japanese... though it's been a while and maybe I forgot stuff.

I can't praise the entries to this contest strongly enough. All 4 are superb, on par with V-Tamer or the Xros Wars manga, digimon manga at its best.

I really enjoyed the anime version of this story, and we need more isekai shoukan these days in general The manga's spending way too much time on the fight with Toma, but I want to read whatever's after that arc... or if there's nothing beyond, still want to see how it ends.

Apart from the grue guy there's also Zorc the yu-gi-oh antagonist... who happens to be one we meet in a tabletop game arc. I think it's at least plausible that "Zorc" is intended, and if there's no dakuten in the raws it should probably be kept.
