I'm just happy that there actually is some sort of magic item that is used for detection, and mapping, that "normal" people can use, and the main characters isn't the only one with some level functioning detection magic/a mapping skill. Watch the next part of the chapter prove me wrong though...

I like that he is being quite proactive in solving problems, and not caring about any game story or such. Hopefully it stays that way, I feel that too many other stories like this have their main characters get stuck in that sort thinking.

Technically I don't think anything the travellers have been said to do have necessarily been done out of any ill intent. The dungeons/monsters-thing is questionable, but there might have been a reason for it, have read other stuff where dungeons siphon off miasma or similar. Mostly the problems...

I agree, but would like to add that going back to chapter one, it is mentioned that dungeons, and even monsters might be creations of travellers. And in chapter three Asteria mentions that a traveller created crops that supplanted all the native crops of the world. If they continue to amass...
