FYI Don't bother translating the "Black Gakkou ni Tsutomete Shimatta Sensei" series. It's owned by Fakku/Iradori and is both already in English and may get targeted for takedown if you start translating. Because then it would start showing up in searches and the front page, making it more visible.

He was never powerful. He is a 'failure'. From reading it has been 20 years since he was summoned but he also mentioned it being 10 years. I think he tried to be a hero for 10 years, failed because he was weak, with the only 'hero' thing he did being saving those 5 monsters that were being...

So his ability is kind of shit since he hurts himself every time like Deku does in MHA. He is also a pussy and a pushover. Not very compelling so far since the intro makes it seem like he is going to be sort of a Dungeon Master.

So the paranoid/cautious MC let his guard down and his skills stopped working for that guy to grab the necklace. Seems legit.
