Looking over the list of groups involved, I think it helps that at least most of them get the joke (such as it is) and as such either support other groups doing this or are ambivalent about it. This seems way riper for good-natured comedy than heated drama.

Depending on how seriously people were actually taking the considerations, 19 and 22 is a perfectly cromulent age gap, but there is still the power imbalance issue of him going to her place of work as a customer and hitting on her. Not really much different from, say, a restaurant patron...
