@yourself yes, I've noticed that lots of manhwa does that where a character will just fantasize a bunch of stuff with no good indication it's not actually happening.

What a tease, all the cute slimes and even saying they look like a mascot, I wanted a slime to take a liking to him since he doesn't hurt them and become his pet.

@Lyanhyrt it's plot damage, the only type of damage healing can't fix. It's the same damage type every cutscene in a game has where the player gets beat when you know you coulda whupped their ass if it weren't for plot.
