I think it's because both of them are the captains of the British and American team respectively and historically these two nations were allies in WW2. Also, the character dynamic between the two with Darjeeling being the cool, calm headed one and Kay being the energetic, hot headed one.

I highly doubt she died since that scientist really seemed keen on capturing her(or maybe I am just huffing copium)

Completely degenerate and insane but I love it for that. The comedy is very good and the art is fantastic. The MC is also pretty likable despite her utter degeneracy due to her having atleast some morals. 10/10.
