I don't blame the author for how they're writing the story, and I had a good idea how dark this story would get since early on, but this is almost physically painful. I just hope every single one of those villains sees their just desserts. I want to look forward to some kind of catharsis.

I have no idea what's going on, but thank you for picking this back up. Comparing just the first couple of pages between the two versions of the first chapter, there's a pretty clear difference.

It's almost funny, after the first couple chapters were released I posted it on Discord and said it looked really good but I was worried it would turn out disappointing. Someone replied that I should be more optimistic about these things. Well who's laughing now? Not me, this stopped being funny...

This manga is finally going somewhere. Never thought I'd see the day. There's an ongoing manga about literally this, so that's funny.

If that is the end... It kinda sucked. Then again, the whole series had been losing steam for a while. It's sad, I really liked it at first, but ultimately I was disappointed.

I get what they're going for, the change of setting and all, but this is such an asinine way to accomplish it.

It's really interesting to see what the author had in mind already versus what he came up with later on. I mean, obviously the "school for monsters" aspect is completely absent, and what we hear of the headmaster in this is a far cry from how Mikogami is presented in the final story. But to...

Man, this series really is a rollercoaster. I genuinely didn't expect a fight scene... Although you could argue it wasn't much of a fight in the end.

Honestly, if the author is moving towards an ending they already had in mind I'll accept that, and if they want to keep it going longer I'll remain optimistic. I think this series has been good enough to get the benefit of the doubt either way.

Feels like she's been on that stupid cross for years. Makes me wonder what Japanese readers are saying about this.
