She could be dead though. We saw the author kill several named characters at the start of the Pansylvania arc who’d had just as much (if not more) development as this woman had.

Agreed. If he’d had more time to plan things out I think he’d have done a better job. To be fair though, I’ve read a lot of series where the story isn’t even this good with pacing or planning so I’ll give him some props for that.

I think the reason for the change of pacing is more of the mangaka having to freeball the story since the original author just up & quit. Dude’s probably doing the best he can since he didn’t have a whole plot planned out.
