I don’t think it’s an inconsistency, the real Minji’s eyes go doable red when she’s around predators, while fake Minji’s eyes seem to be red 24-7, so during the face off they’d appear the same since fake Minji triggers real Minji’s eyes to go red too.

And going back it‘s really obvious now with how it showed the scene of the arm finding Minji in chapter 40, then cut to the creature eating with a panel putting focus on the missing arm and it commenting on the heat of something. Can’t believe I missed that.
