This chapter was a bomb of information. i wonder if his mother was always cold and distant. Then it would be believable why she'd shun Edo even if her reasoning was petty and irrational.

Story-wise, the "conflict" between Edo and his family regarding his upbringing does need to be addressed in order for him to progress his relationship with Wakamiya and develop as a character.

Aaaaaand I'm done, another one for the trash pile.

I'll still give this a chance but the story quality has fallen dramatically and it wasn't that great to begin with.
