    Kaijuu Jieitai - Ch. 73 - Hero

I think you hit the nail on the head. Modern nuclear weapons are optimized for destruction, with little residue. However, I'm willing to bet that when people hear nuclear bombs, they picture the Fallout series, with much more primitive, "dirtier" bombs and rampant mutation within.

    Kaijuu Jieitai - Ch. 73 - Hero

Sometimes it takes a while for radiation damage to occur. Some of the workers at Chernobyl lasted days before starting to break down. It also depends on the concentration of radiation in the water. It may take years to manifest cancer. If there is a timeskip, she might die during it. Yeah, LoGH...

    Kaijuu Jieitai - Ch. 73 - Hero

It really is a delicate balance. You need the deaths of characters to show the threat, but you risk making your audience nihilistic and not caring about the story anymore. We still have the family of psykers, so presumably focus will shift to them.

hitoner - Ch. 6 - The Hito Symposium Part 2

Their whole thing so far has been "multiple tribes came peacefully together to advance." Plus, our MC has been vague on human history, emphasizing the cooperation as well. However, it's likely setting up the contrast. How will this planet of cooperative animals take the realization that human...

    Gunnou Kyoushitsu - Ch. 26

That was a complete surprise. I would have bet that blonde guy would have been a rival or something. We're gonna get psykers vs wormholes controlled by a computer that destroyed its brethren. It's easy to enforce agreement when there's no one left to disagree.

hitoner - Ch. 6 - The Hito Symposium Part 2

While the first "steam rockets" were greek curiosities that propelled small models around, the first explosive rockets were designed in China as improvements to arrows, to more efficiently kill other people.

7-Nin no Nemuri Hime - Ch. 86 - Third Hint: The Giant’s Den

Your facts and logic mean nothing to a being powerful enough to crush a person with her thighs effortlessly.

Horror Anthology Comic Blindside: Tainted Love - Vol. 1 Ch. 5 - What Remains (Keke Kitaya)

The girl has a trauma where she saw the dead corpse of her hamster, so she sees all small cute things as a dead hamster. This extends to things of similar size (kitten). She can't get over it because her "friend" is keeping her dependent on said friend's "positive affirmations". As a result, her...

    Kowaiya-san - Ch. 50 - Final

Wild and amazing, creepy and freaky. One of the rare series that nailed the ending.

Debby the Corsifa wa Makezugirai - Vol. 6 Ch. 59 - Meteorite

Lie Rock "was born of Vivec's second aperture", meaning it was dung excreted from Vivec. Lie Rock was removed from the Pomegranate Banquet from a forgotten guild known as the Sweeps. Lie Rock escaped the clutches of the Sweeps and ascended to the heavens claiming his divine parentage made him...

Yondome wa Iya na Shizokusei Majutsushi - Ch. 75 - Ternecia's End

They are farming her BODY. The mind/soul is gone.

    Kowaiya-san - Ch. 49

That makes more sense, actually. They both have the same pattern of holes in their head, which is what threw me off.
  18. Skullkrusher

    Kowaiya-san - Ch. 49

I'm sad it's ending soon, but it's setting up to be great. Unless I misunderstood something, I never expected Grenoille to actually be .
