I think ▲ typically means ascending and ▼ typically means descending. This is the case with the Wikipedia table sorting UI (example). But in the "Sort by" dropdown in manga search, for Title, Comments, Rating, Views, and Follows, it's currently the opposite. Last Updated seems fine, though.
