You need special permission to edit after a certain amount of time. So, if deleting a user causes problems, then mass editing and banning is the best solution I can think of.

There is a bot called Redact that goes through old Reddit posts (et cetera) and edits in random words. So, is something like that possible here? Make a bot, give it unlimited edit permissions (not limited by time, I mean), and have it randomly edit in words, and permanently ban the user.
