Still waiting for when we go back to Hikari. This flashback is long and annoying. Like, I get it. I haven't learned any new information in 3 chapters and each chapter takes 2 weeks to come out. This is going nowhere.

Can we get back to our main character now?

I'm pretty sure this girl is 100% serious and genuinely confused about all this. Idk if she's just crazy or maybe became this way due to her upbringing, but it really seems she can't comprehend the reasoning of MCs feelings.

Twists need to potentially be seen coming to be considered 'twists'. Not to say they NEED to be seen. But they need to be able to be seen. There needs to be hints. There were no hints. There wasn't anything portraying this sort of turn in the plot. This simply isn't a twist, it's just a lie...

I gotta say, the release schedule for this is definitely more of a reason for this negative reaction than anything else. If we could just get through this flashback and back into the actual story quicker things would've been different.

Alright so seriously, regardless of if you like or dislike these recent chapters the fact is that this wasn't a 'twist'. It was a blatant betrayal of expectations towards the readers. Luring people in for a particular genre, vibe, or feeling and then changing it 20 chapters in isn't a 'twist'...

So, this isn't NTR. But the reason people are using that term is because regardless of what it is, it gives the same feeling of NTR to some readers. So NTR is the closest people can come to express their feelings on the matter. At the very least you people who are shouting "It's not NTR" can try...

I mean. I really don't mind this. Hikari just better remain the main girl. This Aya stuff can potentially be an interesting subversion, but suddenly bait and switching everything would turn it into nothing but a betrayal of expectations.
