Believe me the issue is the adaptation. You're correct on how the title gets shit on by chapter 13 but in the original novel the pacing is better and not rushed so it comes out in the right time I think. Also the parts where the girls realize why the mc is doing these things are more emotional...

This adaptation is really bad. It is rushed and the characters aren't depicted right. The main character is more smart and cunning but is kind in the novel but here he is kind of stupid. The rush skipped lots of emotional parts.
