Idaten has the reproductive organs but they're pretty much nonfunctioning just like all the other organs. If they don't need eyes to see, pretty sure they can't reproduce.

The manga really portrays Beryl as super swordsman several levels above the others. In the anime, which should be based on the novel, Beryl was quite overwhelmed by Aleucia and had to resort to dirty trick to win.
Every arc is always about evacuating citizens then battling the monster, but author managed to keep things interesting by changing the setting. From cruise ship, urban housing, coastal disaster, and now snowy mountain.
It's a shopping arcade / shopping street, you can find in any japan cities.
Budget is probably too high for series, movie is more feasible. I don't know how good the current japanese monster cinematic is.

As for the anime I'm highly anticipating Kuruni's fight because that's such an interesting way to use 2-handed sword, I hope it's well animated.
