I mean, sure, he admitted what he was (jobwise, not isekai wise)... but he has actual clothing changes when he changes jobs, that's a bit hard to lie about when flat out caught (not sure he actually noticed before she called it out).

In the WN, the MC is way more neurotic and paranoid about his secrets being found out and his thoughts exposed, so lots of the chapters are overly verbose about his overthinking.
