@8B3CE273 Please post your settings-file - without your secret. Perhaps there's an additional 0 in size -> 1TB instead of 100Gig?

requestes will be handeld based on location and specs; what looks like will be the most benefiting the system will be priotized the load on the Mangadex-server significantly decreased. So it's working :) detailed stats will probably be posted later on

@gflare normally not - since they somehow have to pool this port for all users. what you can do: - call your ISP and ask if they will add some port-forwardings (sometimes, miracles happen); It's probably not that wise to say you want to use this for mah xD Tell them s.th. like use a home VPN...

@Lancet11 what @blackyawgdom says. What's possible is that someone (perhaps i will do this) provides some services e.g. adding another M@/h server and you can buy a slice of it. This can then be payed with paypal. Would someone be interested in such a deal?

Long term strategies to address bandwidth issues and running costs: MangaDex@Home + Affiliates + BTC

@Lolipop_Candy: Dynamic ip is okay - just put your momentary public IP in there. But it must not be natted. ISP-Nat won't work. You don't need to setup a dynamic DNS. A raspberry pi has enough cpu to power the client. But you need to provide a fast enough access to files - using the...

do you have mangadex @\home active? https://mangadex.org/md_at_home/options if yes, try disabling it. There seems to be some problems here (and it will also try only the same server - until now)

Long term strategies to address bandwidth issues and running costs: MangaDex@Home + Affiliates + BTC

@KazuyaKan not sure why they need this - probably to locate your region or because they have to update the DNS-entries manually. this should also work with a dynamic IP - but port-forwarding is required, since it will only work with ipv4 :) This is also a problem with the h@/h - no valid ipv6...

Long term strategies to address bandwidth issues and running costs: MangaDex@Home + Affiliates + BTC

hey @Holo, will the statistics be per region? E.g. #servers #Cache-Hits #Cache-Misses available bandwidth used bandwidth I can probably provide some more slices but i would try to setup them in places where they are needed the most. (though SEA is quite a problem; EA (like JP or HK) is...

@zhiayang if this will work like h@\h the IP will be assigned as soon as you connect (and then you will get a domain asigned) so this will even work on dynamic IPs I assume m@\h will use the same mechanism. @TheDragonLord it's not a real p2p-system like torrent. It's like torrent if you see...

Long term strategies to address bandwidth issues and running costs: MangaDex@Home + Affiliates + BTC

In the start the 24/7 will probably be the most important requirement, followed by the bandwidth. If there are more and more servers the load will spread more - thus each server will only get a little bit of needed bandwidth. But thinking about the high-res. images anything below 10Mbit is...

Long term strategies to address bandwidth issues and running costs: MangaDex@Home + Affiliates + BTC

@grimof3d yes, this is acutally possible :) building up a server isn't that much of a hassle. and having someone to pool them isn't a bad idea - since then it's possible to even split some servers. that's actually a nice idea. Perhaps I should do this :)

mhm. then i will go with malaysia, since it's a 1Gbit port. ETA ~24h (i will setup this tomorrow) also: my status is still "pending"; how long does it take to get it approved & where should i download the files? mhm... seems like it's a "being on a batch-system" thingy ... I clearly haven't...

@Holo thanks. This worked now. I've added a Server in Germany (OVH network - so probably the IP is tagged France) Now i'm going to setup one in the SEA-Region (probably Singapore)

yes. Speedtest does indeed have a speedtest-cli. it took some time :) I've prepared one of my OVH servers, but I still get some problems requesting a slot... on the server i get "Hacking attempt... Go away." actions.ajax.php?function=request_client on the private system there is no error...

Long term strategies to address bandwidth issues and running costs: MangaDex@Home + Affiliates + BTC

Just some questions @ixlone: Is there a way to limit bandwidth usage? If yes, I can probably support in the SEA region. If not ... Traffic is really expensive there can i apply for more than 1 server? does it have to be speedtest? If yes... I think i have to install it on my server I already...

Images not loading and other fun things. FIXED

yeah. rightlick -> open will solve this problem. the normal request will lead to 403 -> Forbidden error. Probably there is an hotlink-protection which does not allow a request from the .cc domain.

    Blocking OVH IPs?

Hi, did you have blocked the access to mangadex for the OVH-IP-Ranges or did they do something in their network? It seems like i'm blocked after trying to access via 0.ae15.BR3.NYC4.ALTER.NET [204.255.168.105] I can't connect via my Server to your site (either via RSS-feed nor with a proxy or...
