Looking at it, i think "pwn" is definitely the answer here. I could see someone confusing the "p" for "Io" if they're not super familiar with English ("pwn" -> "Iown"). Regardless I think "pwn" is a better choice here anyway, given their established net-life. Still have to see what the official...
