@Kaiser92 - Your guess is as good as mine. Just one clarification: the Umidori is emphatically not an autogyro, but rather something more like the Bell XV-15. That is, a tilt-wing airplane. But USAAF guys like Hutton would not have recognized it, and so classified it as something they did know about, the autogyro, which class of aircraft had been around for nearly two decades at this point in the story.
