How interesting... So I wonder if this is basically a retelling of bluebeard's tale. Except it seems he's pretending to be her brother for some reason. I can't tell him he means her well or if he's secretly a serial killer. His whole household is creepy and suspicious. Maybe this new guy will be her knight in shining armor.

i love the art, but im reluctant, as this is story has quite a dark tone.

okay, now i'm really confused - it sounds like the lady who was her foster mother hated her and wanted her gone, but now she's cool with this dude checking up on her on her behlf? Whaaaa...?
