Binge reading the last 40+ chapters on Mangaplus helped me a lot in starting to appreciate again the manga. I've still to come to terms with the fact that we probably won't get more romantic development for a while and we risk getting an open ending, but I'm a bit more hopeful for the future.
Anyway, seems clear to me that sensei is going to cosplay again in the end, so we have to wait and see how they are going to make her change her mind.

Honestly as much as I want okumura and lilysa together, an open ending making 100% sense here. And I HATE open ending. These kids, mostly okumura, have some trauma. They also have dreams that are more important than love right now. I think the cosplay and photo stuff is super interesting so it's no issue!

Personally I'm going to settle with a confession in the last chapter or an epilogue that shows Okumura dating one of the girls, if the author doesn't want to happen during the story. Still not ideal since I started reading the manga to see the development of the relationship between Okumura and Lilysa, but I need to be realistic in my expectations.
