Never expected a fanservice cosplay manga to get into the moral debate of what a teacher is supposed to do, but I’m all for it MAYURA HAS RETURNED
In Chinese/Japanese, there's two words commonly used for teacher. 先生 (Sensei) and 教師 (Kyoushi). The former means "one who was born first" and the latter means "clerk/leader who guides". The fomer is used plenty in casual settings, while the latter is often used in professional settings or as a job description. Sensei is often used in those casual settings for not only teachers, but doctors and so far as mangaka because it's an expression of respect for their lived experience, having been born first.
The Japanese raws is basically a discussion of the distinction between those two words and the translation is a well-written localization of that discussion.
