Ouch, this chapter can hit you on a personal level if you are old enough.

ah damn. This really hits home for a specific segment of the dispossessed. When you're at that certain level of wealth where you get told that everyone has the opportunity to make it big, and there are just enough people around you who succeed that you think it isn't a lie, but you end up in a mediocre spot having given up on your dreams. The idea that everyone gets to make it big is a lie, of course, but it's a lie that can seem like a promise.

Bruh this is great. Third amazing work I've read from Urasawa. (The other two being Monster and Asadora)
Pluto was mid

bruh what pluto is not mid
pluto has some amazing ideas and the plot is really interesting, but it never came together into a bigger story. basically pluto has a lot of highs, but they aren't connected to each other the same way as Monster or Asadora. also as a cs guy, the ai stuff was good at some points and really bad at other points.

I'm talking about the manga btw, never watched the new anime

Damn didn't know there was an anime for it. Anyways I just thought that it was very good in comparison to manga in general, I haven't read Asadora (although I have read Monster and I do think I enjoyed Monster more than Pluto)

Asadora is his new series. Not a lot of English TL, but pretty similar to 20th Century Boys.

Pluto anime just came out a few days ago. haven't watched it yet though
