eh, people do it with salt baking just fine. There should be a mix of pre-drying, pre-cooking and packaging with the skin out to make it work.

Also, I did say to gamble on whether or not we would get a satisfactory explanation of how the hell she ended up in the middle of a grand desert surrounded by very healthy and energetic looking goblins.

And we got nothing as an answer. So if you bet any points that do not matter at all, congratulations on winning it big.

Also, since he has sand magic. Quicksand as moat defenses, sand baths which can probably feel like a jacuzzi with his control since that guarantees not even a speck of sand would be on your body after you're done. And since he can make sand into a solid building, he's probably also set for making a cool room and deep basement too. As for cooking, it's the middle of the desert, he can probably dry and jerky/preserve food just by letting it out in the burning sunlight atop a scorching hot sand structure built to contain any food. And with Isis's life magic, he's pretty much set for not just survival but thriving.
