I really don't like the fact that Rika has to run all over the place to find her Mother when the Mother is the one who is in the wrong. She is a horrible mother in so many ways and her apparently feeling lonely doesn't justify a single thing she did, and the coworker who spied on them also getting off scot free is disappointing.
