I still can't "like" Mika through this series. I know he's supposed to be a "cool, intuitive maverick" character, but he always comes off as such a self-obsessed jackass to me instead.
I would love to eat dragons as much as he does, but his portrayal makes him just look selfish despite how he's probably the best dragon hunter in the entire setting. It's always, "ooh, I wanna eat that dragon, eat this dragon, eh, screw social niceties, lets make sure this dragon is edible, etc." even when his friends/team are in danger, then he's supposed to REALLY have been altruistic on the inside by saving the crew in danger somehow 'cause he does actually have a heart of gold because he's got a mysterious past and mysterious individualistic personality and a lot of largely inexhaustible natural talent.
I dunno, to me he's really leaning way too hard towards Gary Stu. I love all the other characters, so I guess Mika disproportionately irks me.
