@bosswoman the scanlations teams dropped this as the official published reached the official JP raws count.
MangaPlus basically allows MangaDex to redirect their chapters to them which is a somewhat kind enough offer considering MD being a grey-area website.
They basically recognized MD is a fair platform, which is a really good step for MD's future.

I don't see the issue you've got since you're redirected to it immediately, you can read it for free, can't you ?
Most of the "manga site" you're talking about scrap from the official release (definitely illegal) and host ads, malwares, cryptocurrencies miners, etc. They also completely disregard scanlation teams' will and even go as far as removing credit pages for some of them.
