I feel like the appeal of the first chapter has escaped this chapter. Thinking on it, the art of the first chapter, perhaps, foreshadows the second. While I found most of the first chapter's art an impediment to enjoyment, maybe it was for the intended audience. Still, I do find myself wanting for what I thought this could have become.

That was my reaction to the first half, but protagonist's reaction to everything is killing this for me. Ignore all the societal problems , ignore the nice butler that died cursing you; instead, go fuck women.

I don't want to read a historical novel with the perspective of a spoiled rich brat doing dumb things. Have him at least change his goal by next chapter please. Fucking prostitutes until he feels like a man isn't a goal I can really get behind/want to read about.
