Middle of Pg21 our MC says:
"This girl didn't feel like a princess at all, so I unconsciously acted cold to her"
(Emphasis added for social deconstruction)
Going by his actions, and the meanings of those words, he just said:
"I didn't know this person had a social status that would require me to suck up to them and tell pleasant lies to their face, so I was a piece of shit to her in the way I normally am to anybody who is 'less than' me."
I used a lot more words, but that's what those words mean, and... damn...

The fact that it almost seems natural is even more gross.
