that last chunk really pulls it together, hard to hate a good "one last day before The End" kinda setup like what this had. The panels of the two with some of their closest knights and the pages where they resolved to die and kill for each other hit me harder than I expected lol
Damn, the art style (really liked it) and first few pages made me think this was a fluffy fantasy - and then it went dark really quick. Which contrasted very well with the art style.
Those 'friends/lovers/family/you get it forced to be enemies' stories aren't all that uncommon, but as long as the characterisation and interactions are only slightly good, they always make me depressed. And this one definitely did
This story, how should i say this feels mediocre, and i still think the artist should use their talent on the seinen genre rather than shonen , because these type of artworks are suitable for seinen audience who have a taste for the surreal.
