It's a reference to a different one where the same thief stole the fmc's umbrella, but the fmc's umbrella was really bad so it got torn up by the wind when the thief ran off

I really like that he’s helping with her hair. Being a nice person is good and all, but he not shown to do much around the home, and seeing him helping her with time consuming things like bleaching and colouring hair is wonderful.
