Thor has a point. The demon lord (the sheep) is defending the wolf (that which will devour him). While Thor wants to destroy the demon lord fair and square through battle, I think he has predicted how the Sword of Fate/Princess/Nir will slowly change the demon lord till he isn't even a shadow of his former self. Truly the princess is the true demon lord and the curse of Odin.
