Does that level of thirst exist? Yes, but it's far less enjoyable in real life.

For example, there was a study asking women how far they've gone in doing stuff that could be considered stalkerish for a crush they had. They got 739 responses and the results were:

● Level 0: I haven’t done anything stalker-like. (13.8 percent of respondents)
● Level 1: I’ve checked out his social media accounts. (19.8 percent)
Level 2: I’ve checked out the social media accounts of his friends or ex-girlfriend. (12.7 percent)
● Level 3: I’ve waited somewhere I knew he was going to be, then ambushed him by pretending we’d run into each other by coincidence. (14.3 percent) - (This is the most Anime thing I've ever seen)
● Level 4:
I’ve gone to his part-time job/workplace. (6.8 percent)
● Level 5: I’ve secretly followed him. (7 percent)
● Level 6: I’ve gone to the front of the building he lives in. (13.9 percent)
● Level 7: I’ve gone beyond any of these. (11.6 percent) - This is the one that should scare you.

Counting from level 3 and up (we're gonna assume level 2 is just curiosity) that's 53.6 percent of the correspondents going absolute stalker mode. Remember, this is what they did for people they liked and were not dating. It's entirely possible the guy was completely unaware of the women in question even existing. Imagine waking up one night and some random woman is outside your house staring at you because she saw you in a ramen shop the other day.

You are terrified. She is fantasizing about all the ways you'd rock her world.

It's the kind of thirst you like seeing in manga/anime, but in real life is very uncomfortable.

Details on whether or not toast was involved are critical here.
I believe most (if not all) of them were adults so it's unlikely, but it is likely they had planned it out with the mental acuity of a super computer.

Their plan is still flawed from the start if toast is not involved. We both know this.

Do you have a link to the study? Sounds like it could be an interesting read.
