for me, it's decent (I was about to rate it a 6, but then I gave it a 7)
it ends in the next chapter (+.5), and I think it ends nicely

I wouldn't expect season 2, tho
because if i remember correctly, after that the story is just an even milder story without too much drama
it is still nice to read,
but for anime, I think it is only suitable for OVAs or specials
(or maybe it will, I don't know)
