Let me tell you something: on a basic level, making sweet stuff is a lot easier than making bread. While there are myriad confectioneries in the world, they are mostly quite forgiving because they are so sweet and flavourful. If you manage to follow the instructions more or less, or even alter the ingredients to suit your needs, the result will be delicious. It might not look like it came from the hands of a pro, but it will taste splendid. Of course this is only the basic level.
Bread, however, is exceedingly simple on paper, containing only flour, water, salt, yeast, maybe a bit of oil, perhaps seeds/nuts for a fancier bread. That's pretty much it. From these very simple, mild ingredients you must conjured delicious bread only by using pure skills and correctly used equipment up to the task. It's not so easy.
