I have pointed it out over the years for a few times in the comments of various manga, but the majority of competition awarded chefs in the world are actually men. While it's true the statistics would be skewed due to it usually being easier for men to be more career oriented (men don't even get pregnant) and in the past it was more socially acceptable for men to be audaciously ambitious, at least the latter isn't anymore holding women back. Nevertheless, the point is that good cooking skills have absolutely nothing to do with a person's gender and thus whether the person is the wife or husband. Wives might cook a whole lot more meals in the world, but husbands can get just as good at it.

Now THIS is a more adecuate introduction to this story from what I saw in the raws.

Almost every chap is this, they show a picture of some fancy food, then they do some cute thing, repeat 30+ times until the end of the story.

This manga REALLY needs to have the cooking tag added to the title page.

I cannot understate just how much the food is core to the story.

Well, good to know. as much as I like a SoL series, cooking ones just... dont work for me. Better I know now than get dissapointed hoping it isnt all this

That's fair, you are fully in the right to decide to not watch something if it is not to your liking.

I also don't quite get the charm of cooking manga either.

If I wanted to watch mouth watering food I'd go actually cook myself and eat the damn thing for real.

I don't get what the allure of watching pics of food is.
