A robot maid really should have Asimov's three laws in the firmware. At least as long as a robot maid (or any robot) is a product. Once self-aware robots start building more robots irrespective of any direct human involvement, it would be strange for such limits to exist anymore. The Japanese absolutely love combat maids, though, so I suppose hurting/killing humans would never be forbidden in Japan.
