I dunno, he lives a life of luxury in one of the richest and most powerful families in the country, and is on track to inherit control of the whole thing. He has no shortage of people who want to be his friend and he’s generally well-regarded. If this world is to be regarded as even remotely realistic, there are hundreds of people within the nearest 5 miles of him who would gladly trade places. The idea that the extraordinarily wealthy need to be objects of pity because they don’t have 100% absolute emotional fulfillment as well is kind of revolting.
