A Red Knight Does Not Blindly Follow Money

military uniforms, need we say more
Stories about an assassin that gets to redo her life from early adulthood onward. She is put in situations to protect those she was previously hired to assassinate (which were all royalty) and friends she betrayed throughout her previous life.
She joins a different military branch where the leader of the branch immediately becomes infatuated with her. literally gave her like $1 000 000 just because he likes her. This is despite her character constantly waxing on about how she will not be money obsessed in this second life. Despite her money obsession is justified, due to her parents debt that she is responsible for paying off. She is also a super genius at sword fighting due to being the MC.
Author does not know how to draw fight scenes...neither do I, but its not my job or my story. Not the worst thing in the world, just kind of silly when you MC is "The Best Fighter EVAR" TM

The ML is really annoying. Basically the problem is: 1) he's immediately super duper into her and super doting and protective but 2) he's supposed to be the commander of a knight order and her main boss.
These things do not go well together.
I stopped reading when MC got a cool mission and ML was being a huge wet blanket at pretty much every stage. She gets called to talk to a super important person and he insists on tagging along because he's worried
During the meeting he keeps interjecting when important person tries to tell MC important stuff because that's supposed to be top secret ( Important person wants MC to escort them somewhere and ML insists on tagging along because if MC went alone and something went wrong MC would get in trouble (( MC is getting some important exposition from someone and ML interrupts because that someone is a dude and he's jealous (((
These things do not go well together.

Pretty silly if you think about that fights are an integral part of this otherwise boring knight story.
The world building is also only bare minimum and the pacing is a slog.

I only read up to a few chapters (Chapter 20) and I hate this so much. The entire premise of this story (It’s even in the Godamn title!) is that the MC should not follow money blindly, and even in the story everyone ridicules her for trying to earn a bunch of cash. I was fine with this until the author proceeded to explain that the MC had to pay a bunch of bills and fines and shit and then the story became garbage to me. When you create a story where going after money is scorned (how do they pay their rent and food?) then you cannot have a character that NEEDS to earn money for their mother.You could probably handle this story if you just want to turn your brain off and look at some pictures of a short haired girl in a military uniform.
