so what is this game worlds end goal here? it seemingly summoned/reincarnated these two, and its been giving Lunaria VN system branching choices, but for what reason? Why make someone so unstable the "MC" of your world? Why interfere so heavily at pivotal moments for Lunaria? Is there even a conscious "deity" of some sort working behind the scenes here? cuz the selection popups aren't happening at random, right? Or am I reading too into this

There usually isn't any logic behind any of the stories that have a "status window". The only one I remember that actually addresses it is Kumoko's story. Everything else just glosses over the premise of their story

the thing is it's not actually clear if Mana is a real reincarnator or not. the setting of the game is the that the protagonist who becomes Mana is a reincarnator so there's a real chance that Mana is just exactly following the setting as all the characters do too.

With the added bonus that now that we're looking at a real world that has to fill in between the lines of code. Mana could easily just be the exact same person that Mana the character in the game always ends up being in the hands of a player. Just without the layer that separates good play from actual personality.

As far as we know Lunaria could easily be the only actual anomaly though who knows why the world is giving her these status window choices.

the fact that shes going to such extreme lengths to make Lunaria the villain shows that she knows what the conditions for the Princess Ending are, plus she knows who the other capture targets are too
