I ended up reading the original simply out of curiosity of what you meant and, in the most respectful way possible, I prefer the original art style.

I agree with the people who said that this "reboot" is worse then the original.
While nothing changed in the story, but since this "reboot" lacks any color but also it has less dialogs and some facial expression got changed, it reads like a worse version of the original.
To be honest, if I would compare these two and I had to point out which was the first version, it would be this. Kinda sad, but at least nothing major (story wise) got changed...at least for now.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but if the entire basis of the premise is that this guy having a bunch of life-or-death sex at gunpoint, shouldn't this have a sexual violence tag?

Like the author going "but clearly he's enjoying it" doesn't change it being the crime(s) that it would be? The intended audience having a specific rape fetish isn't supposed to preclude the sexual violence tag.
