Have you seen something titled "I've been possessed by a [character]!" only to be disappointed that, in fact, it's just a generic Isekai-into-a-Novel scenario? What about the hundredth time you clicked on a similar title, and the confusion that quickly flooded in after? It took me an encounter with a protagonist literally title-dropping that line just to realize that official translators LOVE mistranslating

"to transmigrate (into)" [target]
as
"to be possessed by" [target]

and at that exact moment I facepalmed so hard. Yeah I get it, you need to change up some words to distance your licensed works from scanlations and keep your brand, but WHY pick the worst possible nonsensical answer when "to possess" is right there??

Probably because it is machine translated, that's why it is suggested a minimal knowledge of the original language to check the dictionary and see the incongruences. That's just the iceberg peak.
