I dont know if this is adapted from a novel and if that novel is any different but this ending just felt completely unsatisfying. The author clearly had a lot of very interesting and potentially great ideas, but completely fumbled in the execution. So many times major plot points seemed to just be forgotten about only to randomly show up 70 chapters later. The main gripe I have is that the idea of revenge goes from some minor plot point that should’ve been resolved 50 chapters in to the overarching main theme that gets explored to the depth of “hurr durr, revenge bad” and then the story gets left on an open ending. This is consistent with the more minor arcs and themes as well, the authors ideas are never explored to any degree of depth.
