Further down the line things get pretty tangled and it gets a bit too extreme. When there's such an extreme amount of plots going on, especially in a manga/manhwa, it gets to be a bit much. The fact that the mc can manage all of this and still remain hidden - it really feels like heavy plot armor. The circumstances always line up for him. Also, the mc needlessly makes more enemies by not explaining his intentions when there is clearly more to the situation. It would make perfect sense for him to let the detective in on his group and explain the situation since she is an INCREDIBLY dangerous person to have as his enemy and kept in the dark in these circumstances. She is a bomb that could set everything off if she makes a move in these circumstances.
