Got hit with the oldest truck in the book. But I can see how he fell for it. Evan in his earlier dialogue he was underestimating her thinking that she wasn't that intelligent due to being an idol and not having time to go to school and why'd Gungnir would want her. Which led him to have a more linear line of thinking/reasoning than he usually showcases.
