Generous reading of the story, just as much as Nan Zhi isn't communicating, neither is Qin Mi, so maybe it's all a misunderstanding and Nancy thinks Nan Zhi is controlling.

Like, let's be real, Nan Zhi still, is Qin Mi boss, with such power dynamic a romantic relationship can easily go extremely wrong, so imfeel there's 50/50 chance Nancy is misguided and completely misreading the situation.

The issue with Nancy's behavior is that fundamentally it is Qin Mi's choice. Being an adult is about making decisions that involve trade offs, and priorities shift and change.
