even if the end goal of the demon gal is ultimately for our guy to be exposed and victimized by humans for her own ends, i do think that's a really valid take. why even acknowledge him if at the end of the day you force him to hide like vermin for the rest of his days, especially given it is in no way an easy task? for once i think mc is making not only the morally correct decision (not betraying his allies by keeping a secret hidden) and also the correct decision for the future, since hiding it indefinitely is not an option whereas inseminating the idea of an undead becoming a holy figure that follows the canon like anyone else into the minds of the populace would certainly lessen the pushback and vitriol the inevitable reveal would cause, even if that reveal was accidental
