Oh, actually in the afterword of this volume the author says that Yijian was supposed to be the protagonist of another manga that Nanatsuki Kyoichi had in mind. But in the end, this manga didn't go beyond the idea, and the author got the green light for Aegis' story, but the character was not forgotten by the author and was eventually included in the history of at least this manga
